My passion is definitely learning through a range of play and fun ideas. I have worked with all different ages of children and love being a part of an ongoing development for each individual. Joanna

Student Teacher

Kia Ora! Call me JoJo. I am an unqualified teacher and have just begun working towards a Bachelor of Teaching in ECE. As I have a lot of nieces and nephews, you'll find me hanging out with and looking after them as much as I can. I really love being the "favourite aunty."

A personal endeavour of mine is to make sure that every child I come into contact with feels safe, seen, heard and loved. I look forward to meeting you and your little one(s) and the adventures that await us!

Laura

Room Leader

Hi everyone, my name is Laura. I am originally from Croatia and came here when I was 3 years old. I love New Zealand and call it my home. I have been working in Early Childhood Education for 12 years and hold a Bachelor of Teaching in ECE. I have 2 children of my own. I believe each individual child has their own urges and interests that I believe is important to support throughout their precious preschool years. Supporting children from such a young age is my favourite as you get to see them grow from the beginning and watch their achievements over the years. I look forward to meeting you all and building a lovely relationship with your children and family.

Toni

Kia Ora, I’m Toni and I’m the room leader of the Muriwai room, I am qualified and fully registered and have been teaching for many years. I have a strong passion for under threes and love watching each child grow and development as they learn about the world around them. I love taking children’s individual interests and extending on them in a fun creative way where they are able to develop different working theories. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner out fishing and exploring our beautiful country. I looking forward to getting to know your children as you spend your time at Eduplay.

Tia

Talofa Lava everyone, I’m Natia but you can call me Tia. I’m an unqualified teacher and have been teaching for 3 years with all ages as well as having a Level 3 food safety certificate. I’m from Samoa and visit my family often.

Natasha

Teacher

Kia ora, my name is Natasha, but you can call me Tash. I am a qualified and fully registered teacher who has been teaching in early childhood since 2003. My family includes my husband, 3 children, a dog and a cat. I have always had a passion for teaching our younger generation as I strongly believe the first 1000 days are the most important beginning to a child's life. I believe building relationships and connecting with tamariki and their whanau is so very important, and to do this, listening with intent is key! I teach from the heart. Our tamariki are our future so it is important to empower them and encourage them to see just how unique they are and what they are capable of! I believe it takes a village to raise a child and I am looking forward to being apart of your child's village!
